The Allen-Bradley 2198-D020-ERS3 is a Kinetix 5700 dual-axis servo drive. It incorporates the drive with a hardwired and integrated safety feature that is a safe torque-off (STO) function and SIL CL3 and PLe safety ratings. It also provides support for Hiperface and DSL encoder feedback. Its dual Ethernet ports provide support for both linear and device level ring (DLR) topologies. It uses single-wire and tuning-less commissioning, simplifying installation and saving space.

The 2198-D020-ERS3 drive has a module width of 55mm. It has dimensions of 9.92 x 2.17 x 14.09 in. and weighs 9.17 lbs. It has a continuous and peak output current of 8A and 20A at RMS (root mean square) values and 11.3A and 28.2A at 0peak values respectively. The continuous power output at 324 - 528V RMS 3-phase is 5.5 kW. It has PWM frequency of 4 kHz and internal capacitance of 330 ?F.

The Allen-Bradley 2198-D020-ERS3 is a Dual Axis module that belongs to the Kinetix 5700 Servo System. This axis module features a dual Ethernet communication interface that may be used to implement motion control over Ethernet I/P and connect to linear and Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies. This dual axis servo drive has an integrated safety feature and capable of performing advanced tuning via the Load Observer Real-Time tuning technology.

The 2198-D020-ERS3 Dual Axis module has a continuous output power of 5.5 kW, continuous output Current (rms) of 8.0 A, continuous output current of (0-pk) 11.3 A, Peak output current (rms) of 20.0 A and Peak output current (0-peak) of 28.2 A. The module’s supported maximum bandwidth for velocity loop is 400 Hz for Velocity loop and 1000 Hz and 4 kHz for Current Loop while the Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) frequency is 4kHz.

The 2198-D020-ERS3 has a main input voltage of 458-747 VDC and control input voltage of 24VDC and input current of 5.5A. This dual-axis servo drive module has 0-460 VAC (rms) output, 3-Phase and frequency range of 0-590 Hz. The module’s maximum Short circuit value is 200,000A.
