Setting the Safety Network Number (SNN)

The assignment of a time-based SNN is automatic when adding new Safety I/ O modules. Subsequent safety-module additions to the same network are assigned the same SNN defined within the lowest address on that CIP Safety network. In RSLogix 5000 software, version 20 or later, you can configure EtherNet/IP I/O modules to use unicast connections. Unicast connections are point-to-point connections between a source and a destination node. You do not have to enter a minimum or maximum RPI range or default value for this type of connection.
